Privacy, passwords & downloads

Lock a flipbook with a password, control PDF downloads, and limit which websites may embed it.

All of these settings live in the editor → Privacy tab.

Password

Great for internal material, client reports, or paid courses.

  1. Enter a New password (at least 4 characters), then click Create password.
  2. Readers must enter the password before they see the content.
  3. Changing the password locks out every reader again, including those who opened it before.
Password-protected flipbooks are not shown on public Bookshelf pages, so their content stays protected.

PDF downloads

Turn on Allow PDF download if readers may download the original PDF; a download button then appears in the viewer. Leave it off for material you don't want passed around as a file.

Limit embedding

By default a flipbook can be embedded on any website. To limit this, fill in Domains allowed to embed, one per line:

yourstore.com
*.yourstore.com

Other websites trying to embed your flipbook are refused. This is available on selected paid plans.

Dangerous links

anflip checks links in PDFs with Google Safe Browsing. If a link is flagged as dangerous, the flipbook card shows a Dangerous link label and the flipbook can't be published until its PDF is replaced.
