Getting started

Creating your first flipbook

From PDF to a shareable flipbook in minutes: upload, wait for the conversion, then publish.

1. Prepare the PDF

anflip accepts any PDF: magazines, catalogs, brochures, reports, menus, or course material. A few tips for the best result:

  • Export from the original app (Canva, Word, InDesign, PowerPoint) as a PDF rather than scanning, so text stays sharp and searchable.
  • Keep bookmarks / headings when exporting. anflip turns them into the flipbook's table of contents automatically.
  • Unlock password-protected PDFs first; locked PDFs can't be converted.
  • The maximum file size and page count follow your plan (shown in the dashboard's upload area).

2. Upload

Open Dashboard → Flipbooks, then click Upload PDF or drag the file onto the page. You can also upload straight from the home page.

No account yet? You can still try an upload from the home page. The result is a preview kept for 24 hours; sign up free to keep the flipbook in your account.

3. Wait for the conversion

The flipbook card shows the conversion progress. A 20–50 page PDF usually takes under a minute; hundreds of pages can take a few minutes. You can close the page: the conversion keeps running on the server.

If a conversion fails, the card shows why (for example a damaged or locked PDF). Fix the PDF and upload it again.

4. Adjust and publish

  1. Click the flipbook card to open the editor. Adjust the look, add interactive elements, or skip ahead.
  2. New flipbooks are always private (only your team can open them). Click Publish in the editor, or choose Publish from the card menu.
  3. Click Share to copy the link, the embed code, or the QR code.
Your account email must be verified before you can publish. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification email from anflip.
