Table of contents & replacing the PDF
Build a clickable table of contents, and update a flipbook's content without changing its link.
Both live in the editor → Pages tab.
Table of contents
When a PDF is first uploaded, anflip fills the table of contents automatically from the PDF's bookmarks. You can edit it:
- Add a new section for the selected page.
- Change a section title and its page number.
- Reorder with Up / Down, and make sub-sections with Indent.
Readers open the table of contents with the button in the toolbar.
PDF without bookmarks? The table of contents starts empty, but you can build it yourself in a few minutes.
Replace PDF
A typo, new prices, or a revised edition? Click Replace PDF and pick the new file.
- The link, settings, interactive elements, and table of contents stay. QR codes and embeds already out there keep working.
- While the new PDF converts, readers keep seeing the old version. When it's done, the new one appears right away.
- Elements on pages that no longer exist (for example, the new PDF is shorter) are removed.
- If a replacement fails, the old version stays live and the reason shows in the editor.
