7 tips for a digital product catalog that gets people to buy
How to build a flipbook catalog that reads well on phones, sends buyers to WhatsApp or your store, and can be measured.
A digital catalog is more than a PDF dropped into a chat group. A good one helps buyers find products fast and buy right away. Here are seven tips you can use today.
1. Design for phone screens
Most readers open catalogs on a phone. Use at least 14 pt text on an A4 page, avoid small text over photos, and leave enough white space.
2. Start with a contents page
Group products by category and add bookmarks to the PDF. anflip turns them into a clickable table of contents, so buyers jump straight to the category they want.
3. One product, one action
Add a link element over every product: to its marketplace page, or to wa.me with a prefilled message. Fewer steps mean more purchases.
4. Show prices clearly
Hidden prices make people hesitate. If prices change often, update the PDF and use Replace PDF. You don't have to share a new link.
5. Add video to hero products
A 30-second demo is often more convincing than three paragraphs. Embed a YouTube video on your hero product pages.
6. Collect buyer contacts
Turn on a lead form on a later page, for example after page 3, to ask for a name and WhatsApp number. Your sales team can follow up with people who are genuinely interested.
7. Measure, then improve
Check the statistics: which pages are read longest and which links get the most clicks. Move best sellers to the front and fix pages people skip.
Use the slider effect for catalogs people swipe through, or magazine for an editorial feel.
